Soft Power Palace, Kunstgebäude Stuttgart

Institutional identity for Soft Power Palace, a festival about independent art institutions in Europe. It was initialized by Akademie Schloss Solitude together with the other partners of the Kunstgebäude network (Schauspiel Stuttgart, Merz Akademie, Staatliche Akademie der Bildenden Künste Stuttgart, Theater Rampe, Württembergischer Kunstverein und ifa Institut für Auslandsbeziehungen).

Soft Power Palace’s aim was to establish a cultural exchange program that had never existed before. For eleven days, five artistic initiatives from five European cities were engaged in a public discourse on perspectives for cross-European cultural exchange.

The work took place in open studios, which invited the participants to enter into conversation with each other. Each day ended with an event on the Open Stage. Within the process we developed the program booklet, website, poster campaign and exhibition graphics within this institutional identity with the aim of subtly bringing the discourse to the visitor through the different media.
