Wolfgang Dauner—Jazz et cetera.:
Exhibiting an estate

Exhibition design for the presentation of Wolfgang Dauner: Jazz et cetera., hosted by Württembergische Landesbibliothek. The estate of musician Wolfgang Dauner (1935–2020) has been part of the collections of the Württemberg State Library since 2024 and is now being exhibited for the first time.

In addition to handwritten scores and records, the exhibition also features Dauner’s artistic documents, instruments, and a homemade trumpet mouthpiece. It also includes sketches, letters, notes, and medals of honor, as well as negative reviews. Thus, we separated the exhibition design in 5 chapters to divide the life and work of Dauner. The estate reflects a life marked by experimentation and provocation. Those five sections, the exhibition “Wolfgang Dauner. Jazz et cetera” offers insights and exciting audio samples from the musician’s world; topping off this extensive exhibition.
