Exhibition Design »Design Ist Unsichtbar«
Design of the exhibition »Design ist unsichtbar« [Design is invisible] — function, colour, smell, composition, feel, sustainability, materiality, trend. Design is determined by many factors, not only by the shell or by its surface.
Design performs in the background and gives relevance to products, textiles and systems. In nine showcases of the exhibition, Academy students of architecture, industrial design, communication and textile design present their results. These were created thanks to their involvement with design.
From initial design attempts to complex implementations, what often remains undiscovered is made visible and enriched with information (graphics in space). The showcases in the first floor arcades of the Ministry of Economic Affairs, Labour and Housing Baden-Württemberg [Ministerium für Wirtschaft, Arbeit und Wohnen Baden-Württemberg], which were conceived in the 1950s as “showcases of the economy”, are thus once again filled with life, displaying these works in the sense of a classical exhibition.
